INFANT BAPTISMS

Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word." (CCC 1213)

Prior to the Baptism of the infant, parents and godparents are to attend a preparation class that will reflect on the meaning of baptism. Parents wishing to Baptize their infants should contact the rectory for information.

*It is necessary to come to the Rectory and receive a registration form days PRIOR to the conference date.

CHILDREN AGE 6 AND OLDER:

As required by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, all children 6 years of age and older MUST take Religious Education classes for them to be able to be baptized. Please contact Ana Sanchez at (213)216-2361 for more information.
